College Mission Statement From mission across the street to mission around the world, Redcliffe's flexible courses provide excellent Bible based cross-cultural mission training, developing your knowledge, character and skills, and equipping you to serve God anywhere! Our vibrant international community is alive with single people, married couples and families all living, learning and worshipping God together. As a body of Christians we are simply passionate about mission and have seen literally thousands of students move on to serve God worldwide. Our courses reflect the latest in mission thinking and are taught by lecturers with practical mission experience. You can study full-time or part-time, with MAs also available as a flexible learning option combining residential intensives with self-study and email support. Whatever your calling, at Redcliffe you will find your horizons stretched to discover what God is doing, through His people, in the world. |
Course Information
Undergraduate Courses
Certificate (CertHE) in Applied Theology in Intercultural Contexts
This one year Certificate provides foundational training in biblical, theological and cross-cultural studies. The course also includes weekly and term practical mission placements (see below).
Diploma in (DipHE) Applied Theology in Intercultural Contexts
Specialised mission course for two years that significantly develops biblical, theological and cross-cultural understanding and skills. The course also includes weekly and term practical mission placements (see below).
BA (Hons) Degree in Applied Theology in Intercultural Contexts
This three year Degree builds on the Diploma and provides comprehensive training for full-time Christian service. The course also includes a term practical mission placements (see below)
Professionals in Mission Certificate (CertHE)
This course particularly equips people who want to use an existing profession in a cross-cultural context. Alongside cross-cultural and theological training, it includes weekly practical mission placements (see below) and a bespoke programme helping you explore practical issues in-depth.
Postgraduate Courses
MA in Global Issues in Contemporary Mission
This taught Masters focuses on key concerns within mission today - including globalisation, spirituality, religious pluralism, Pentecostalism and the environment.
MA in Global Leadership in Intercultural Contexts
The course will equip you to appreciate and meet the challenges of leading a global team. It will also give you the knowledge and understanding you need to shape an organisation to function effectively amid the ever-changing challenges of the global world.
MA in Intercultural Studies in Asian Contexts
This new MA will provide focussed postgraduate training for Asians and non-Asians seeking to become more effective in this exciting and challenging ministry.
MA in Sport and Christian Outreach
Drawing together applied theology, sport and community development, the course offers students both campus and placement learning opportunities, helping them to analyse, critique and develop this expanding field.
MA in Bible and Mission
A postgraduate course for those wanting to reflect on mission in the Bible and the Bible in mission.
MA in European Mission and Intercultural Christianity
This unique MA combines the study of mission to and within Europe, with developing an understanding of how the past and current cultural influences present in Europe shape Christian practice.
MA in Member Care
A new MA for those preparing for or involved in Member Care, exploring the need to have a Biblical basis underpinning practice, as well as understanding cross-cultural perspectives and their effect on individuals and groups.
Short Courses
Across the Cultures Short Course
This 12 week course runs between September and December. It focuses specifically on mission and cross-cultural issues by selecting the most relevant modules from the Certificate and Diploma courses, and provides excellent preparation for short-term mission.
Pick and Mix Short Course
This flexible short course (from 6 - 30 weeks) allows you to choose Certificate and Diploma course modules which are most relevant to your specific needs or requirements.

Practical Mission Placements: With our undergraduate courses you are able to test your ministry and turn theory into practice with local weekly placements and annual term placements. Annual placements can be anywhere in the world and in any type of Christian ministry. Drawing on our links with over 50 agencies we will help you find the right assignment that will develop your particular gifts and interests.
Validation: All courses (except short courses) are validated by the University of Gloucestershire.
